Privacy Policy

Olu Piggy Bank (“we”, “us”) is a digital piggy bank and money-learning app for children, operated by Agodi Technologies. We built it for families, and protecting children’s privacy is core to how it works. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices parents have. It is written to align with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the Google Play Families and Apple Kids requirements.

The short version

  • The app works offline-first — a child’s data lives on the device by default.
  • We do not show third-party ads and do not use advertising or tracking SDKs.
  • We do not sell or rent personal information — ever.
  • A parent sets up and controls the account; children don’t enter payment or contact details.
  • Optional cloud sync (so a family’s data follows them across devices) only runs if a parent creates an account and provides an email.

Information we collect

Stored on the device (default):

Children’s first name or nickname, avatar, age band, and the in-app money/learning activity parents and children create (jar balances, goals, chores, lessons, streaks). This stays in the app’s local storage on the device unless a parent enables cloud sync.

Collected only if a parent opts in to an account:

The parent’s email address (to create the account and sync data) and the family’s app data, stored with our hosting provider. We do not require a child’s real name, photo, address, or any contact information.

Payments:

Subscriptions are handled on our website by a PCI-compliant payment processor. We never see or store full card numbers, and children cannot make purchases in the app.

What we do NOT do

  • No behavioral advertising or third-party ad networks.
  • No selling, renting, or sharing of personal information for marketing.
  • No analytics or tracking SDKs that profile children.
  • No collection of precise location, contacts, microphone, or camera.

Parental rights and choices

A parent or guardian can, at any time: review the information in the account, edit or delete a child’s profile and data, disable cloud sync, and request full deletion of the account and associated data by contacting us. Because the app is offline-first, deleting the app from a device removes the locally stored data on that device.

How we protect data

Cloud data (when enabled) is stored with a reputable hosting provider using encryption in transit and access controls. We keep data only as long as the account is active or as needed to provide the service, and delete it on request.
